DJ-Jonesy Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 We have a couple of these printers round the school now, and noticed on some they seem to leave a strip down the side that looks like a burn mark or something. What part would be the best option to look at changing first apart from Toner as already done that one and still the same Thanks in advance Dan PS: sorry if this is in the wrong place.
ajs Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Are you running the most up-to-date driver? I had some HP LJ 1015/1020s at my old job that did something very similar (black strip down one side of the page). Upgraded the driver and the problem went away.
tech_guy Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 As a joke once we printed some pages with black stripes on them and put them back in the printers. A left-over from April 1st for you perhaps? If not perhaps there's an inherent fault with the fuser units?
DJ-Jonesy Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 Will check the driver issue before looking at the fuser unit. Thank you
