Is your host doing any db rollbacks? is it just the frontpage changing, try editing a page and seeing if it reverts as well.

try from a different browser/machine.

I had an issue where changes I made, when I clicked the save button, it just didn't. So I was making changes and it just kept ignoring them. I swapped to a different browser, and it worked fine.

when i login to the backend the changes are there also, so different browser wont help,

i have called the hosting company and they are not doing anything

Does joomla not keep logs/revision histories? you might be able to find out what user is triggering the changes?

Also if memory serves joomla shows all active sessions on the acp home page, check the ips of any logged in sessions and make sure they are ones you'd expect.

Did you delete the cache AND turn it all off? If so, then I'd start looking at whether the change is hitting the database. Download something like HeidiSQL and have a look at the _content and _content_frontpage tables. If your changes are hitting the DB and then getting changed back then it's worth also looking at the weblogs for hits on those articles. If you can't find any hits, make sure access to the DB is tight (change passwords and restrict access to the webhost) What are your running this on - windows or linux?
