rush_tech Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Our Repro Graphics is looking at buying a sheetfeed scanner. Seems they are being given a increasing number of scan jobs. Can anyone recommend one?
Ric_ Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Don't any of your photocopiers have this function? Photocopier scanners are generally very quick and high quality with some being able to dump the job as a PDF on a FTP server.
contink Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Couple of things to suggest before you go hunting.. Does it have to be TWAIN compliant and what paper size are you looking for? If the answer is no to the first and A4 to the second then I can recommend the Fujitsu FX5110 (see review below) http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/reviews/review.phtml/1062/2086/fujitsu-fi-5110eox2-scansnap-scanner-compact.phtml I got one to digitise all my fiancee's worksheets and it went through them like the brown stuff off a shovel.. Double sided (at same time), fast and comes with Adobe Acrobat standard... Well worth a look.
rush_tech Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 Our Photocopiers in school don't have network cards or scanner unit. So The only route that we can go at the momnet is standalone unit. But I will be putting it forward that when a replacement for a photocopier is sought that these functions are included in the spec.
