Good points raised in your blog. However 100% of the people who have moaned about this are admin staff who spend most of their time writing letters, the first 5-10 lines of which are an address, which doesnt need a space between each line.

However, I will just tell them about ALT+Enter instead of messing around with ADM files and stuff.. Thanks SYNACK!

incidentally and a bit off topic, I cannot import the admx files, only adm. The majority of our servers have been upgraded to 20888R2 and its one of them im using, but is the reason that we still have a couple of 2003 still kicking about?

I can browse to the .admx files no problem. But within GP editor, trying to import them fails. It didnt show them by default, i had to change it to *.* to get them to show, and then selecting them said invalid file format or some such error.

Assuming your templates are stored in the central share it will only read those and will not allow you to import any locally, this is so that any station in the organisation can edit and interpret the settings.

Because .adm files are legacy and are not implemented in that way, they are only supported locally and even that is a compatibility measure.
