[sims] EMA module missing year groups [Solved]

Hi can anyone help me with a strange one.

 

We've changed our school status as of September so now have sixth form and want to use the EMA module in sims.

 

When we go into it it picks up our year 11 students, year 14 students but not year 12 or 13?

 

Does anyone know any reason why it might do this? i've looked at the academic structure and pastoral structure to see if there were any differences for these years that might mean it wouldn't work but can't see anything.

 

So the administrator is having to manually process all EMA payments at the moment which is a headache and time consuming.

year 14... what's that? higher college level?

 

i've had issues in the past with 'other' systems albeit SIMS modules not liking naming conventions for years in pastoral structure.

e.g. having a Y in either short name or long name for y9 caused an issue for Options. It's easy to overlook that difference in Pastoral structure.

 

also, worth checking school setup, to make sure they are setup correctly against national curriculum years.

 

Don't really use EMA module, so just thinking out loud in case it helps.

we just use year 14 to put in any adults or students that have stayed with us to perhaps repeat a year 13.

 

I will have a look through the pastoroal structure again its worth checking little things like that. I'm sure it is something small.

Try this. In Tools->academic management->set academic year, check you are set to use the current academic year. I don't know how it works but when I had a similar problem with year groups missing from a report the reason was my workstation set up was set to the wrong academic year

thanks for the tip, i think i've managed to sort it, there was a date that i changed in the EMA set up to the end of the school year (even though sixth form students finish earlier which is what we had put) and now it works!!
