Debby Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 I am an experienced SIMs user, specialising in Exams and Assessment Manager! but can use the majority of the modules. I am looking for a position working for either an LA or 3rd Party business where I can work from home, visiting schools and supporting the business. Perhaps, a company wishes to expand into the North West and is looking for someone to assist their bid in supporting the North West schools. Any takers, please let me know Thanks
vikpaw Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 (edited) try Will_townsend (member) who runs his own agency specialising in this area, and education generally. His company Education Support Professionals should let you register on site. It's also worth checking on county based websites for jobs either at that level or in schools. There is one company that i know are expanding in the SIMS area, but i think they are down south way, GREED is the man for info there. EDIT: LinkedIn is also a good place to build up a contacts / seek work if you're not already a member. Edited November 24, 2010 by vikpaw addition 1
Rob_L Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I would recommend getting in touch with Will Townsend. He is looking for an experienced SIMS consultant, with T6, Exams and assessment knowledge, in the North West. Will has been involved with recruiting for SIMS support for many years and has been a great help to myself. Rob
Debby Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Thanks, Rob I have just emailed Will, through the company, so hopefully he will reply Debby
Debby Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Please, if anyone speaks to Will, ask him to get in touch!!!! Not that I'm desperate or anything
GREED Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 To pick up on this post where I am mentioned, we are expanding into SIMS training at the moment, we are a training company by trade. We are not looking to move into SIMS support, in my opinion that is well catered for by the LEAs and Capita. Additionally, we will not work against Capita in leavering out customers from them, we (and most companies) are far too small to take them on! We look to support the LEAs and Capita in providing additional and bespoke training, and are in communication with LEAs in the south to that end. We already work with several schools along the south coast on many topics. I would recommend contacting the partnership office at Capita and see if/how you could work with them (not against or in competition with) and they might be able to help you. David there is a good man to talk to.
Debby Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Thanks for that Greed, and I understand what you are saying. I will try the partnership office at Capita to see if there are any companies up in the North that work with them. Do you need any trainers then? I am a qualified 16+ Teacher/Trainer! and desperate to get out Debby
