Accessibility settings for visually impaired users

Can anyone offer any advice or explain what your procedure is to aid users with visual impairment. We have a user that finds it difficult to view the screen display.

You can allow users to change their resolution/icon size etc in the settings of OS. There has been some discussion on similar themes here, and if you want to take a look at some free software you could take a gander at JISC.

 

Although to be honest I would first start with the solutions from this thread. I created seperate profiles in the past for users who needed a larger screen, but would be looking at allowing users to modify it for their cumfort now.

 

You will need to identify why the user has difficulty with the display. Is it due to the requirement of a magnifier/fonts used or the background colour making it difficult to read from. This will make a difference to what settings need to change, the suggestions and software from the links above provide some solutions worth taking a look at.
