Sheridan Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Bit of an odd one this. We've got some Apps here that are basically Flash Player 9 .exe files that are a menu structure to view various files (videos,Office docs and PDF files) Once you run the exe you use the menus to select the relevant resource - works find all around the network. However on our 2003 Server R2, the apps run but clicking the links does nothing - no errors, just nothing happens! Only seems to happen on this server. Problem is its our terminal server so its stopping these apps from running! I've tried to contact their tech support but can't seem to find a valid contact for them (it was Pearsons Salters A2 Interactive Presentations) Anyone else running this/had problems with this?
LiamH Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 (edited) We had a problem with flash files not working, re registering the DLL's helped could try that? Edit : sorry was on the phone so a bit distracted, type these commands in the run dialog. Should get a message popping up about the registration being successful regsvr32 jscript.dll regsvr32 msxml.dll regsvr32 vbscript.dll Edited October 22, 2010 by LiamH
Azhibberd Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 We had an issue with a program like that on our terminal server... try adding that program on the DEP (Data Execution Prevention)allow list!
Sheridan Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Hmm, neither of the above worked unfortunately. Looks like its a terminal problem with the software and it just won't run on 2003 R2.
