Right we have 4 ICT rooms, each has its own OU. Now we have just got printers for each room and we want to stop students printing in the wrong room.

Now the obvious way to do this I thought would be under permissions to add machines from other rooms and deny them or permit the allowed room. Windows appears to completely ignore any machine based security setting.

Does anyone know any way to add these security settings in a way that they will actually work?

Is just 'not adding printers in other rooms to machines' not a viable option?

Surely it's the user that sends the print job; not the machine anyhow. :)

I think I will have to go down this route. I have hacked our scripts to add the printers correctly - took me the best part of half an hour. The company who are supposed to provide us with support said it was a two day job!
