enjay Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I'm trying to transfer stuff from my Sky+ to DVD (let's not get hung up on the potential legal pit-falls, as the broadcast was free-to-air and the DVD will be for personal use). I have: * Scart cable from Sky+ "TV Scart" socket to TV * Scart cable from Sky+ "VCR Scart" socket to AV2/EXT (also tried AV1) on VHS/DVD recorder combo * Set recordings to "copy" in Sky+ Planner then pressed "Select" to start them playing * Pressed "Record" on DVD. I have tried seemingly every possible combination of cables and sockets, yet all I get is a snowstorm on the DVD. What have I done wrong?!
maniac Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 What's the program - I bet it's available on-line somewhere. I've never had a problem doing this with my parents DVD recorder, just make sure you select the right input to record from and it works fine normally. If you're really desperate, there are methods involving removing the HDD from you sky+ box and deocding the recording directly, but these are not recommended.
enjay Posted October 14, 2010 Author Posted October 14, 2010 Looking online isn't an option here, unless you're thinking potentially dodgy BitTorrent sites and I'd rather work with the recordings I've got than do that. Not sure where to set which input to record on - any suggestions what I'm looking for in the menus?
