Big clock for the playground

Our HT wants a clock of some sort that can be seen from the playground. So ideally visible over 150-200m. I'll do some research but my main question is how big does it need to be?

Try a mock up. Start with A3 and work up, or down?

We had this at my last place. My solution? We chopped a couple of trees down so that the students could see the clock on the local church....

About 2-3 metres diameter if you want them to read it accurately if my back of fag packet calculation are correct. Colour and contrast between the hands and the clockface can also make a difference.
