Adding Users to a group

Ok...it's entirely possible I'm simply going mad...we'll see

 

From a child windows 2003 domain on a windows 2003 DC, I Open the properties of a user, click member of, then add to group....now when I click locations, I can only see my domain and not the entire directory :-s

 

I could swear I've previous been able to view the entire directory from here so that I could add the user to another group in another domain

 

Interestingly enough, we also have a windows 2008 dc in the same domain, and when I carry out the same process as above I can view the entire directory.

 

This wasn't a Windows 2008 new feature was it?

 

Please tell me I'm not going mad
