is any one intrested in starting a folding@home team if you are vote and i will check with the edugeek staff and see if we can get a edugeek one up and running if there is not one already. what do you think i will put it to the vote.folding@home i am happy to run with it if people want.

Seems interesting, not sure about packets flying around and using my cpu power though, it's regularly maxed out (is old now)

Also have you seen http://climateprediction.net/ It may be more relevant to school children than protein folding. It has a 'schools' section with links to KS3/4 maths, science, geography resources and an added advantage that those extra CPU cycles that contribute to Global Warming may actually help prevent it, rather than help line the pockets of a major drug company

thats the one i like the way it works as when i am using my cpu it does not seem to. i have never had a problem with it. if you dont use the graphic verson on a older pc i find you dont even notice it.

I've been involved with a few of these sorts of projects over the years and they are ok to start with but if you start to run quite a large herd then it can become quite time consuming.
