Is there a way of adding a local user to an Active Directory Group? I can add members to local groups but I want the local account to have permissions in active directory (e.g. user1@local) so they can access certain things.

No - that's kind of the point of local users :-)

You can have a domain account with the same name as the local account and give that account permissions in the domain (eg for mapping drives) but it may be more complicated and confusing than you want.

It would make a handy tool though wouldn't it. A local to AD user migration tool, even as far as migrating email to a new Exchange account as well would be nice.

Ray, if you're there, is there such a thing?
