Hiding My Documents from the Desktop but not the drives inside

Guys and Gals

We wish to remove the My Computer icon from the desktop along with everything else, we have redirected desktops which are read only and can place what we need on there, but we need to give access to the mapped drives and usb sicks etc, ive hidden a b and c.

We have set the hide drives policy to Restrict A b and C Only

We have set the Hide My Computer from the desktop

We have placed a shortcut to My Computer in the Redirected Start Menu, but as soon as you hide My dComputer from the desktop it hides everything within it, so when the users click the shortcut on the start menu, the My Computers is empty unless you click Folders, which is one step too far for Young users.

How can i remove the My Computer icon but still be able to browse My Computer and it show Drives D and Above.

We know the mappings are working, as we temp placed run back and we could browse the mapped drives.

Any pointers

Cheers
