I was rang by the science teacher today......

"I've got a bug in my laptop, can you come down and have a look"

Not quite realising the gravity of the situation I checked the Sophos Enterprise console - nothing reported.

I get there and there is a bug - which has found it's way into the laptop and is walking around between the plastic cover and the LCD panel....

Anyone got any ideas?

It made my day!

Set the screen background to, say, a dark blue (but not so dark as you can't see the thrip).

Then move your mouse in front of the bug and try to attract it to the light. Once hooked, steer it to the edge of the screen so that should it die (and they won't last long sandwiched in the glass) it won't be visible.

If a manufacturer came up with a "thunderfly proof" screen, they would get a fantastic marketing opportunity (especially if they patented the technology first ;) ).
