TechSupp Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Have my Fog server installed on Ubuntu and all was well untill I allowed it to upgrade to v10, now something seems to have been corrupted somewhere as if it runs it only works for so long then the screen blanks (think its still running as if I hit the power button theres disk activity and it shuts down). Is there a way of reinstalling Ubuntu without losing my FOG installation? Tried pressing ESC at startup and selecting the FIX option but it seems to just download updates and then I have problems when I boot back in to the GUI?
TechSupp Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Done that now, just get a screen with scrolling messages, 'Checking if I am the group manager"' and then 'I am the group manager' with date and time added. Did the dmesg in a terminal window from the menu and had what you were looking for but really cant see anything catastrophic (but then again not really sure what I'm looking for or at!). Its sat at its Gui at the moment so will see what I can do when/if it goes again.
TechSupp Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Done that and it just says 'no propriety drivers are in use on this system' after searching.
