WARNING: FLASHING THE FIRMWARE ON YOUR ROUTER IS A VERY GOOD WAY OF KILLING IT. I WON'T BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR ROUTER, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I'm sure some of you will probably already of heard of this, but I only found it last night. Seems good so far, I've flashed it on to a D-Link DIR-615 D? (can't remember now if it's D1 or D2, came free when I signed up to Virgin Media) but I haven't had a chance to properly configure it yet. A quick test over at speedtest.net showed that I was hitting download speeds of about 9.8mbit on my 10mbit connection, was averaging around 7mbit beforehand.

Anybody else used this? Got any tips on performance boosts you've found using this?

Been using DD-WRT for a bit now. Very useful for all sorts of different things. The one thing I got it for was sub netting my network in 2, but haven't managed to do that yet due using a different router for internet and it blocking the internet at the same time. I'm sure I am just doing something wrong but never fixed it. For now I am happy with it. Also good for running multiple WiFi, I sometimes need to connect 3rd part laptops to my network and don't want to add them to my nice Wireless N with security, so create a unencrypted WiFi and connect to that.
