win7(x64) dvd(film) issue

ive got is so it will now autoplay with wmp but for some reason if i double click the dvd drive it just complains no file type associated with this file and does nowt. Play is the option it gives on a right click but again just gives an error but plays on autoplay/loading wmp happily any ideas as its annoying

I don't know if it is worth looking in your control panel and looking in defult programs and checking your settings
