6Foot2 Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 I was thinking about that very front page last night when I heard about the result.
SYNACK Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 (edited) Huh? Whats easy? Edit: there were no images that showed up in the post when I posted this. Edited June 20, 2010 by SYNACK
6Foot2 Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 (edited) Huh? Whats easy? It was a reference to how 'easy' the group England was drawn in. As it turns out either the group was not that easy or England have not performed as expected. Edited June 19, 2010 by 6Foot2 Correct grammar.
Haptic Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Eroded Attention Started Yawning That was after the first 5 mins...I saw a much better class of football during the socceraid game. I actually genuinely mean that (Jamie Theakston for England goalie!!!)
srochford Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 As it turns out either the group was not that easy or England have not performed as expected. I think England performed exactly as expected, just not as many people desired :-)
RabbieBurns Posted June 20, 2010 Author Posted June 20, 2010 I think England performed exactly as expected, just not as many people desired :-) The English Media expects England to Win every world cup and Euro chapionships every time they come round. They spout on about it so much, and talk about 66 so much, that its satisfying seeing england do bad. We have no chouce but to listen to it all what with the BBC etc screening in Scotland and Wales too. (Its great watching it here with unbiased australian commentators)
featured_spectre Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 As did I. Even though I wanted England to win, they were simply out classed, and the defence allowed too many players to break through.
TechMonkey Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Ah ha. That would be what those huge groans, cheers and various other noises were I heard yesterday. I think I must have heard the pub kicking off which is just over a mile away!
DrCheese Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 the defence allowed too many players to break through. We had a defence????
Andrew_C Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I guessed things weren't going our way by all the swearing at tellies from the neighbours. Then when the kids came back out to play at 1/2 time and didn't go back in, I looked at the score line.
