6Foot2 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I am getting complaints from certain departments. I am told that the machines are slow to boot but when I check they seem fine. This is subjective and contentious. However I have found a utility this evening which should allow me to attach a numerical value to a stations' boot: Download Link: PC Boot Timer - Reviews and free PC Boot Timer downloads at Download.com The three stages in using Boot Timer: http://imgur.com/JFxZC.png http://imgur.com/5J0uc.png http://imgur.com/67lW7.png I will give it a go at work tomorrow. 1
elsiegee40 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I've often found that a brand new monitor and flash looking mouse speed up computers no end... - especially the "subjective and contentious ones"
maniac Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I've often found that a brand new monitor and flash looking mouse speed up computers no end... - especially the "subjective and contentious ones" It's amazing how much better our Dell GX60's are with 19" TFT monitors instead of 17" CRT's - last year I was forever getting complaints about the speed of them, but this year hardly any!
