MRBS 500 Internal Server error

I have just tried to install PHP and MRBS on a Windows 2003 server. I am using ISAPI PHP and IIS 6.0

 

After finding PHP 5.3.2 would not work at all I have installed 5.2.13 and when I run a test php webpage it comes up fine.

 

However when I tried to load index.php for MRBS I get a 500 Internal Server Error and I am not sure where to go from here

 

my config.inc.php the only real change is the time zone

I get the following PHP error when I try to run MRBS index.php

 

The description for Event ID ( 2 ) in Source ( PHP-5.2.13 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and 
Support for details. The following information is part of the event: php[4260], PHP Fatal error:  Call to undefined function mysql_pconnect() in C:\Inetpub
\wwwroot\MRBS\web\mysql.inc on line 432.
