eean Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Hi, Anyone know of a simple piece of software that can take pictures, and possibly even video and timelapse from a webcam. We got the TTS Easiscopes and it comes with AmCap, which is crap. A 20 second video was hundreds of MB! We need it to be really simple (like Photobooth for the mac) for use by primary kids. Oh... and at this point in the budget year it's got to be free! Thanks,
SimpleSi Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I'd suggest checking out YawCam and/or VirtualDub. But I'd suggest you get familiar with them before letting the pupils loose WinMovMaker might be able to capture the video stream but you need to test first. regards Simon
danrhodes Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 For more indepth control look at SuperVisionCam, an old program but works well, I use it for my CCTV, it has good motion detection. SupervisionCam Homepage English 1
eean Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 Cheers, Kinda wanted something with a big red button that that means record and a big camera button which means capture picture! Was hoping to use it with foundation stage.
danrhodes Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 If you want simple consider using M$ PowerToys Webcam timer shot, you can set it to take an image at a set interval! http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TimershotPowertoySetup.exe
