spec a test machine for win 2008 with terminal services

Need to spec up a machine as test rig for Server 2008 to play with terminal services and find a good book to look at. Obviously the cheaper a pc is the more likely I can get it my boss to agree to it but at the same time I don't want it super slow. It'll have to be a fujitsu siemens workstation.

 

dual core mid/high? quadcore?

ram 2/4 gb more?

 

what do you suggest?

I now run a i7 965 with 12GB DDR3 2133Mhz on an Asus Board runs really well but is a bit pricey.

haha & that spec sounds better than some of our actual servers!

 

and it'll have to come from our existing supplier.

Yeah I did splash out a bit ott. I only use it for SETI , Video Editing and Photoshop :-)
