Quackers Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 We have a list in sharepoint, which is the people in the naughty room, and how many periods they have to serve. I have made another column that is periods served, and another column that is calculated, periods - periods served. Then i have the list webpart showing where periods left is greater than 0 show them. So the result is we have a list of people who should be in the naughty room, and how many periods left to serve. Is there any easy way to deduct 1 period without having to highlight the student, click edit, then delete the figure and then retype the figure with 1 deducted? Would be nice to have a button next to each student that does periods served +1. But cannot see a way to do this. Hope that makes sense.....
apearce Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 sounds like its a great way of using SharePoint to me but its going to be custom code in visual studio as you need to write it with the timer services in MOSS and letting it know when a period is, how long it lasts etc
tom_uk Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 You could just use the "Edit in Datasheet" view, under Actions.
