with regards to server virtualisation plus a disk array, we've traditionally only bought HP, but I have seen some interesting offerings from these companies such as the broadberry cyberstore.

 

also could anyone offer any thoughts on the Open-E DSS storage system? with comparisons to storage server 2008.

oh, we will be running server 2008R2 with Hyper-v, looking at 3 x dual quad/32gb ram server plus 3tb disk array.
