BarryWAaMC Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Hi, I have been trying to set up Moodle for use instead of Fronter. A requirement is to be able to deploy IMS packages, but these packages are about 700Mb in size. I run the Moodle process for adding an IMS package and start the deployment process, but then the browser status bar says Done, but the window says that it is deploying, but no progress is being indecaited and when left for several hours, this doesn't change. Is there anything I need to do to the PHP configuration in order to deploy packages this large? Any other ideas that anyone may have would be most welcomed. Cheers, Barry.
CyberNerd Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 It's these lines in the /etc/php.ini post_max_size= upload_max_filesize= or perhaps it's in the local .htaccess there is also a max file size setting in moodle. personally, I just sftp direct into the moodledata directory in the server....
BarryWAaMC Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 CyberNerd, Thanks for the info. I'll look into it. I found the file size in moodle, but it's largest option was 16Mb. I'm hoping I can get around that! I have a direct LAN connection to the Moodle web server so I considered copying the IMS zip package over, but it still didn't deploy and I can't find a way to link to it when it is unzipped. I'll look at the lines you have suggested, but if you have a ny other thoughts, I would be greateful. Barry.
