KenBaker Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Hey folks, new to these forums. Myst seems to have taken a hold as a tool for aiding creative writing in schools. I wondered if anyone had managed to create a MSI for it? Any tips before I start would be very helpful. (ie pitfalls etc). Cheers in advance Ken
morganw Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 I think it needs the CD in the drive even with a full install, we've used the RM CD-Rom Player to run it. I wouldn't have thought it would lend itself to installing via an MSI. You could try scripting Daemon Tools to mount the disk image and then run it.
KenBaker Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 I hardly use the CD-Rom player, but thats a fine idea How do you handle the disk change requirement in the CD rom player?
morganw Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 I think our copy was on a DVD, so no disc change.
KenBaker Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 Hmm damn, give me an excuse not to do it in a hurry
