Hi there!

First time poster here, so I hope I've got the right section!

I've had a new Canon ir3570 photocopier installed and its all up and working apart from the Remote User Interface (RUI).

I should be able to just type in the ip address into a web browser and have the RUI come up, but the browser searches for a few minutes then say the page cannot be found.

I've since found that I can't access my HP JetDirects either (new to the job so as far as I'm aware this has been like it since day one)

Things I've done to try and remedy the issue:

Installed Java VM on server

Gone through all group policies enabling web printing

Enabled everthing at the Photocopier end

Installed all printer management software that came with the ir3570 (Netspot console)

All of which haven't made any difference.

The photocopier engineer thinks it may be a conflict with the Viglen Classlnk XP running on the server?

Any suggestions, any at all, are much appreciated!!

I assume that your machines and printers/photocopiers are on a private IP subnet and that you use a proxy server to access the internet. If so my first instinct is that you are trying to access the web management pages via the the proxy. You may therefore need to add an exclusion rule in your proxy configuration so that requests intended for devices on the local network 'bypass' the proxy.

Also check the printers. If your new to the system check for V-Lans the printers could be ona different one to your workstations with 1 workstation set up to admin them. Likewise they could be set to only accept admin from 1 specific IP.

Thanks guys,

You were spot on with the proxy solution, but now I'm stuck with a

"RemoteUI Contents is Not Found!!

RUI Module Version : 3025"

Guess its another call to the Photocopier engineer...
