danIT Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Just a quick thought, ive got some visitors coming into have a look at CMIS and how we extract data for some web based apps we use, and i just wondred wether anyone out there had managed to connect to the cmis database or anything? perhaps construct another application which could query the database? wouldnt it be great if we could extract and enter what data we wanted?
Geoff Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I would of thought that would be against the EULA? It certainly is for Sims.NET. You have to buy a developer license and even then you can't directly query the DB. You have to use their APIs.
danIT Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 Well i havent really looked into it in all that depth, its just a query. I mean for CMIS say you do some assesment grade in CMIS you can export them to CMIS, try importing them pain the pancreas!
CyberNerd Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Enclosed CMIS - Active Directory VBS script to sync CMIS users into AD. Not my work - it was subcontracted. Not sure of CMIS license but I gather its less restricive than SIMS (cheaer too) I'm sure you can use this as a base to write something for your needs. Just make sure its GPL'ed cmis-adsync.vbs
