Guest richard_s Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I have decided that now is the time for me to start doing some formal qualifications after 8 yeras in the field but am unsure as to the best way to go about it. So I thought I would pick your brains as to what is available and the ease of accessing "free" training materials as I only have a limited budget. I should hopefully be able to get work to help but may have to go it alone so to speak.
ricki Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Hi Google has the answer and don't use the torrent sites and searches as the content might be ilegal.
Potato-Peeler Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Buy the MCTS server 2008 books, they even come with a disk so you can install server 2008 on a VM, work through them then take the exams?
dalsoth Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Certforums may also be your friend with many Edugeek members there too and many self study guides for those who wish to save money.
ricki Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Dont forget to download http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=04D26402-3199-48A3-AFA2-2DC0B40A73B6&displaylang=en os that you can install an server and client at home to practice. Richard

I already have access to 2008 as well as any other Microsoft product I need through works TechNet subscription so that is not a problem what I am looking for is advice on courses as well as useful training resources.
