Integrating OCS with current VOIP solution

Hi,

 

We currently have an Alcatel Lucent OmniVista 4760 VOIP solution. We also have just started to run Office Comms Server 2007 R2.

 

I know its possible to run the two fully integrated using Unified Comms.

 

Anyone had any luck in the past or any advice with similar solutions?

Right, check the alcatel forums as a starting point, someone may have done it before.

 

But as the alcatels - as I recall - aren't completly supported by ocs, the best way is to create a SIP trunk between the alcatel and your OCS mediation server ( which should be a physical box not a vm, as it'll need to do almost real time audio transcoding)

 

it's absolutely possible, but you need to plan the kind of interplay/connections you want beforehand
