fil_b Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 We have 128 of these machines and we have been trying to use some open source software on them but have hit a wall. The machines need 3D to work and the onboard graphics does not support 3d any 1 help or give me ideas please it has the intel q35 graphics chip and we have put the latest drivers on also tar feebs

DC7800 was our standard machine and we have lots of them running a pretty huge range of software without problems (and we have some pretty demanding users!) Not quite sure what you mean about not supporting 3D? They're not going to do DirectX graphics as fast as a separate PCI Express card but they should be up to most things I would have thought??

They're not going to do DirectX graphics as fast as a separate PCI Express card but they should be up to most things I would have thought?? we have just used the standard graphics card in the pc This is the ultra slip dc7800 the ict course has called for the staff to use alot of free ware apps one that comes to mine is game maker 7 - need directx enable but cause the graphics does not support it wandered what others have done will get print screen tomorrow tar feebs
