A recent eBay purchase by my OH is "Charles Buchan's Soccer Gift Book for 1959-60"

 

For the anoraks amongst you, Charles Buchan (according to the book) is a former England, Arsenal and Sunderland Captain and was editor of 'Football Monthly'. OH bought it for the Luton FC autographs in it!

 

Anyway facts aside, I just love this picture of the 1927 cup final. Now, if referees dressed properly for modern matches, perhaps they'd get more respect!

Tried suggesting our PE teacher put on her ball gown for this afternoon's netball tournament, but she seemed to think it wouldn't help!
