The missing documents folder...

I had someone come to me today who has a standalone Vista laptop (hp tablet), and apparently a message popped up saying that there was a problem with the tablet functionality, it rebooted and now the users documents folder is gone.

 

Nothing in the event log

Nothing from running Recuva (File Recovery Tool)

 

Any ideas??

Did you ever see the folder yourself? Maybe the user forgot to tell you the folder was on the memory stick or something....

 

I guess you have checked the user type areas documents and settings, username blabla? Maybe different on Vista i can't recall. Maybe i have just been no help at all Did try tho!

I found it!!

 

For some reason it had been moved to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile ??
