Hyper-V coexisting with SIMS

Probably a daft question but I might as well ask it anyway.

 

We got a new server installed over the summer to run SIMS instead of the slightly tired admin server which is now just running as a DC/Admin File server. So looking at it, the server isn't really being taxed by SIMS at the moment and I'm wanting to setup Hyper-V on the server as well so I can run a small webserver in a virtual machine.

 

Now for the daft part of the post, there aren't any known issues running SIMS and Hyper-V I'm guessing and is anyone doing it now or would anyone rather say to me that's a bloody stupid idea don't do it?

Nope... don't know of any, have seen it running within Hyper-V alright, I guess on the Dom0 would be fine. I would run something like reindex\valid memberships\valid census return on the server, SIMS might run fine now, but wait till next year when they're running something heavy on it.

All Sims actually is a SQL database with some apps (buggy though). I used to have sims on a test Server (Dell Poweredge 2950) an used hyper V and it was ok. I have since flattened the box and only use Hyper V on it.
