XenDesktop - Thin Clients

Hi

 

We’re looking at XenDesktop as a VDI Solution, much cheaper than View, also looking at the comparison, performs much better, Google ICA vs RDP.

 

Does anyone have any experience with XenDesktop thin clients, Wyse look to be the best, but also the most expensive.

 

Were already using XenApp for about 60 users, so were well experienced with Citrix and their Many Management consoles...

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If cost is an issue look at Sun's VDI 3, uses VirtualBox - It will depend on RDP protocol.

 

But for Thin Clients, the sponsor of this forum Axel would be a good start. But if not, look at Sun's "Sun Ray" devices. They pluging in to Citrix ICA, RDP or even Sun's SGD (Sun Global Desktop).

This particular school run XenApp as opposed to XenDesktop, the M80 Thin Client supports both...
