Searching files for missnig security permissions

Is it possible to search a shared directory for either the presence or absence of a user or group?

Do you mean, searching a bunch of files for the presence or absence of particular NTFS permissions...? This seems quite tricky. The only similar utility I've found so far is part of an expensive package by tools4ever.

Another option might be to concoct a batch file that exports the permissions for a directory and then searches the results, something along these lines (though this is for share permissions).
