Webcams

Anyone using webcams in the classroom/office? It has been suggested that putting a webcam on every computer would help the pupils communicate with staff and each other. I’m assuming that something like messenger would be the software to use but I am concerned it would invite unwelcome online chats?

Have them used in businesses with remote offices, and found them really good; classroom uses could include skype-type conference calls with various people. Not sure you'd need one in every room though, a few which could be booked out would more likely suffice.
