Academic Promotion Problem in SIMs

Hi we have a problem with this years academic promotion in SIMs. Students have been promoted from the groups that they were in at the start of the 2008/09 year instead of at the end of the year. This means students that switched subjects during year 12 have been promoted into year 13 with the subjects they initially were studying in year 12 not the ones they switched to.

 

Can anyone explain what we may have done wrong? Just to avoid the same problem next year.

On the Memberships of groups of a scheme window select Allocate | Curriculum Promotion Wizard. Please ensure that the reference date chosen is a date when classes are populated for the current year. (From KB56583)

 

You probably did not ensure that you used a reference date late in the year!
