Non-EDI Results in SIMS

Brilliant!

 

Having used the Non-EDI Routine I can only say what a major improvement this is. Our Data Manager has his own way of calculting the Performance figures. He also has an LA 'Qualcalculator' which is completed for the LA and also produces the Performance figures.

I have used the SIMS method and we have exact agreement (apart from the odd imput error that we need to identify). SIMS EO obviously did it a lot quicker as the results were automtically pulled into the PI Calculation whereas my colleague had to import all of them into his Spreadsheets before doing the claculations.

What we now need for next year is Reports that can be generated using the data shown in the 'Edit PI Data' screen. i.e. Print Offs of each extra Qual we have added.

I do!

I had been on the UAT remember! - but we were not fully convinced I would be able to get all the data in for today when the August Release was postponed. Because I was the only one working I was also not 100% sure I had all the data and that it was correct. Wading through the QANs etc was a new experience for me - we are only 11-16.

 

Also - the LA require the spreadsheet for other uses!

It works ok but is very time-consuming - would be nice to have an import option there

We found that sorting out the Discounts was the longest process because we checked every single one - just to be sure. the ALAN Literacy and Numeracy did not automatically discount agains the GCSE English and Maths.

The imput of the data was not that long.

For some Quals we bulk selected all the candidates for a particular award and then just edited their Result and Points. Others we did via Qual and Result.
