Connect 3 TVs to 1 Computer???

I work at a high school, they are planning to get 3 TV's around the school and they want to send out different pictures to all 3 different TV's.

 

I have planned to use VGA switch from computer to all 3 TV's but I cant send out different pictures to all TV's.

 

Is there a software which could help me to do this? Or have you got any other solution?

 

So i want to send:

 

TV 1 = Welcome

 

TV 2 = Web-site All From 1 Computer

 

TV 3 = Notes

You would need three VGA outputs on the computer to get three displays. Either add an additional PCI/AGP/PCIe graphics card with 1 or 2 ports or get a couple of USB to VGA adaptors.

 

Are all three TV's in the same location and relatively (within 10m) close to the PC? If not then you may want to look at VGA over Ethernet adaptors to send the signal to the TV's.

Oh thanks allot. Your a star. I thought it was impossible. And ye the TV's are with-in 10m. TV's are already connected with VGA.

 

Can I Download a trial version of Digital Signage? So I could test this out.

I'd recommend using Xibo, which is free and opensource. You don't need massively powerful PCs to run it if you're just wanting to do a simple slideshow or scrolling text etc.

We use old laptops that have suffered with broken screens as the clients as they work perfectally well on the VGA output still, and they're small so we can just hide them above ceiling tiles and set them to power on automatically. We use an old workstation as the server. This works well for us controlling 5 screens.

Another vote for Xibo.

 

If i were to do our setup again i would go for one of these ultra small Atom based PCs which are VESA mountable. Mount it straight on the back of a TV, HDMI hook up, ethernet cable running upto the TV (or wifi if you need to) and away you go.

 

After our bad experiances i would take the above to a "computer in a cupboard with mega long VGA and audio cables" solution.
