student diary joomla extension

An idea just sprung to mind, I was wondering if anyone knows of an extension that we could use for a student diary/planner?

 

it needs to be able to allow students to have their own loging, and a calander etc. I've looked at blogs but I don't think that would be suitable and could be open to abuse.

Isnt this the kind of thing that would be done in your VLE?

Yes but im giving them an option. to be honest the vle is not something the kids use much.. its not very graphicaly pleasing on the eye.

 

I figured if I create something then show the idea to my boss. at the moment kids tend to carry hard copys around with them.

 

they tend to lose them and it could potentialy save the school some money.
