K2 CCK for Joomla

Are there are Joomla users out there?...i'm guessing so..

 

I've just moved our joomla site over to the K2 CCK (content construction K2 - Ala drupal) and its just fantastic!

 

I can publish articles to any category on the site, so say for example we have a curric section and a policies section. but our front page article list 'lifts' any article from any category that has the 'featured article' checkbox ticked.

perhaps i'm getting excited over nothing but this component is the bomb.

 

I am running the K2 v2 pre-release, I am told that a final release is days away.

erm you can do that in Joomla... and judging by that link your just running joomla with a extention..

Maybe I wasnt very clear...K2 is a component for Joomla that takes over from the normal content manager.

 

You can do something similar with vanilla joomla, but this is way more advanced + it has ACL built in so you can give different groups of people different access rights for whatever page on the site.

it also allows you to create your own plugins/extra fields for content articles.
