All configutations are default, i looked at the authentication and it all seems fine. didnt need to change anything. but then the error does point to problems with configuration..i keep staring at it but nothing seems to be wrong with it...

If you can make a ghost image of the server as is then reinstall the LNM system. I had to a few times before it actually worked you only need to miss one thing for it not to work correctly so I'd definately try a reinstall first.

If however you've already done that then check the event logs and see if anything appears in the security and apps

Thank you for the suggestions, I have reinstalled it 3 times and still same problem..looked at event logs and most just information, few warning..i am surprised microsoft don't have a forum on ms site for LNM.

Gonna sound like a long shot but try installing firefox and trying that out see if it will connect otherwise PM me a screen shot and I'll have a look. I have to admit though there isn't much on LNM I think Geoff or Tony have it installed and working they are very good with these problems!

I have seen this, it's an ASP error.

If the LNM installation fails due to an NIC problem and you attempt to complete the installation manually the IIS may not have installed all of the asp bits.

Try uninstalling and re-installing the IIS/ASP components I think thats how I fixed it.

Beware of installing any other IIS components especially WSS on the LNM box.

Thanks guys for helping me out. unfortunatly i am still in the same boat. I uninstall/reinstalled IIS and still doesnt work. http://localhost should atleast show something apart from "page under construction" error. this is becoming real headache...any other suggstion plzzzzzzzz

Hi guys, the reason localhost showing the underconstruction page is because of an index page called "iisstart.hm" in the root of default web services. .localhost grabs that file, any change to that the localhost changes accordingly. anyway, I know have an authorization message on localhost/managementconsole page,i.e. LNM clicked on desktop. I am logged in as administrator, i didnt think " You are not authorized to view this page" should even display. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THIS MAY BE...plzzzzzzzzz help

[align=left]Marx, I'm not sure how to fix that lat error

But I solved the first one its a bit of a work around but it works. The problem is that the pasword that is reading from the registry is wrong. Go to the AD and set the LNMAdminstrator password to what ever you want. Then go to the web.config file and put in your username and password in those two lines. It worked for me
