Comet_63 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Hi there. New to this forum but hope someone out there can help. Is it possible to customise the behaviour management tables in SIMSnet. At the moment it has about 5 panels where you can enter information. Would like to add another behaviour area to record incidents and change the 'points' to 'periods'. Hope this all makes sense.
Gatt Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Not quite sure what you mean, but you can alter the drop downs Tools -> Lookups --> Maintain -> in "Description" type in "Behaviour" and click search Tools -> Setups ---> Behaviour Types - allows you to enter what misemeanour they commited... One of the lookups is for location and when it took place... Hope this is of some help 1
Comet_63 Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 Thanks Gatt, That was not quite what I meant. I would like to add another heading instead of 'Behaviour Type' have say 'Inclusion Type' and be able to do the same things as you can when you choose 'Behaviour Type'. Also where can you edit the points?
timzim Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 You can certainly customise the content quite a lot, e.g. we changed and added to all the Behaviours and Achievements, and altered the points using the two methods described previously, but it looks like you're expecting to be able to change the actual structure. I don't think SIMS is quite setup for the sort of customisation you want, much as I wish it were (and I don't think it would take much for Capita to organise, but then they'd probably charge you another fee for the pleasure...). 1
Comet_63 Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Hi Timzim, Thanks. You are probably right. I'll just have to see if they can do it!!:confused:getmecoat:
MattMitchell Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Let me know how you get on with this - I've got to look at our behaviour management stuff in SIMS next (after the assessment and targeting bits....)
Sivadam Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 (edited) Comet, With a little bit of ingenuity you can tailor the different Fields to what the school requires. And when you set up a new Behavior type then you can input the Points as part of the procedure. You can also edit the current ones. See KB74379. Maybe you should subscribe to SupportNet. You will probably get a better response there. Edited May 28, 2009 by Sivadam
