Joomla Contact Us Top Menu

Hello

 

I have the Edugeek joomla 1.5 package

 

How do i change the contact us text in the top menu as i would like to Change this to Contact Support or somthing

go into the menu manager and use that, its proberly under top menu

 

You need to look at the documentation at http://joomla.org, as if you don't know how to edit menus then you will struggle with most of Joomla untill you have looked at it.

Sorry to blow your candle out my friend. But I have all ready looked there but I can't see any instances at all. I can see all the other entities but nothing to do with "Contact Us"

Have you got a link to your site?? The Menus are defined in the Menu manager its normally the top menu or main menu unless you have changed it. You need to click on the edit menu icon in the menu items column, there you should see your menu stucture.

I am not sure, but I don't think that you find anything about the specific menu item. I think mossj is pointing out that Joomla is very dependent upon menus and that manipulating menus and menu items is a critical skill for successful Joomla deployment. You can change the text of any link by editing the item's title. This is the link text that is displayed. Here's a good video showing how to create a new menu item. You will see where you can edit the title. I hope that this helps.

It should be in the menu manager somewhere.. my friend you just have to use your eyes... don't make me go and load up the package just to screenshot it for you

Hi guys

 

I am able to change every entity but there is'nt one for contact us at all. I have been looking around the menu manager but there is no trace. I thought it was a module but it is'nt :S

 

It must be hidden somewhere !! out there !!! ha ha

Right logout and log back in > hover over menus, then down to main menu, once there navigate onto the second page (using the page numbers that are middle below the menu stucture list) then at the bottom (last one) it will be there, click on it and then change its title to whatever you like, then click apply....

 

If you want to change who appears on that page hover over components and down to contact manager.

 

I don't see how i could help you anymore than that...

 

P.S don't mean to be short, but chip shop closed before i managed to take my break....
