Server 2003 x64 SP2 Windows Updates

We recently purchased some new servers and installed Windows Server 2003 x64 on them.

 

We updated to Service pack 2 with no issues, since we installed it though, we cant seem to install anymore updates and when it attempts to download its REALLY slow and fails. (this has happened on 2 servers)

 

Windows update works on an existing Server 2003 x64 SP2 machine we have.

I've just installed 'Microsoft Update' this seems to have resolved it

Yeh WUA can have issues and the easiest way to fix a lot of the problems is by resetting it.

For future reference:

Stop the "Automatic Updates" service then browse into c:\windows and rename a dir called SoftwareDistrobution. Restart the service and it should reinstall WUA agent when you go to windows updates.
