wesleyw Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 What do you use if anything for Virtual CD is there a linux based open source project out there that could be used for Windows Clients etc..? Wes
Geoff Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 You mean mounting ISO images? I use Daemon Tools. http://www.daemon-tools.cc
CyberNerd Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 linux can natively mount cdrom images: mount -t iso9660 -o loop /dir/image.iso /mnt you can then share to windows clients with samba
Geoff Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 There's converters for other formats too, eg bin2iso, nrg2iso, mdf2iso etc.
ajbritton Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 DaemonTools has been rock solid for me. V3 install is MSI based so deployment is easy. DaemonScript lets you create scripts to mount the ISO, execute the app then dismount the ISO again.
Chuckster Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Could I request a copy of the MSI and the scripts, please?
