You could goto open transport tycoon delux (free!) as you can call it educational

A legal and open source game for kids above the age of 12 is America's Army if you are after a shooter. it is stated in the legal bits on the site, but i have not checked it for a year as i moved schools and we don't have the facilities here yet

 

but for things like UT3 if i remember correctly you will need a license per computer you want to run it on.

Whilst americas army is good for a shooter, the kids will get annoyed at the fact that they are not able to re-spawn when dead until the round is over. I have a level 97 honor account after 3 years, and its still as tedious now as it was then. And I think the kids will go mental as they cant play as well as they could on say COD4 / BF2.

 

But as a game, it is a good one for free!

i run a game every lunch time with about 33 kids, its call paintball 2

Aye, it did annoy the kids at first. Then they figured out working together and strategy keep them alive longer but they really did get into it and didn't seem to mind the waiting then
